Things make sense in circles like rhymes are round
Worth every whisper pound for pound
A steamy little drip beats deep to sink ships
It ripples on the surface like lyrics from my lips.
I can live that beat, these lyrics and this thought
For lifetime of days until my brain is shot
The sleep cuts the frames and blurs the lines
What’s sweet is insane and what’s sane is in rhymes.
If our bustling cities were like big beehives
There would be one soundtrack to everybody’s lives
So sleep is peaceful when we dream our own lies
But I lie awake in my mind with closed eyes
Because I see darkness so true I blink black holes
I won’t sleep a wink, until creases turn to folds.

The Rhyme of the Dime
Our little kings and queens
Whose smirking legacies
Become less and less defined
Mistaken for menacing intensity
With every green printed ream
Quarters, pennies or dimes
And every nickel eye that mirrors mine.
Compared to the value of an infinite line
the radius times Pi
A dime might as well be worth nine.
The life of a dime
With all the dirt and grime
When its scuffed and brown
Or caked in mud and never found
The dime makes it back to the womb
To earth where it was mined
Where it is then consumed
Appreciated like fine wine
That random moment when it came due
Even if you've refined the taste of time
The moment the dime recycled
Hardly gives a clue
To the flavor of its adventures
Or the spicy sweetness its accrued
The dime in its grime
Worth 10 cents
Kept in pockets and jingled
Lent and used and spent
Born december Ninth 1962
Pocketed, forgotten and reused
Was forgotten by the last someone
Before it got to you.
Whose smirking legacies
Become less and less defined
Mistaken for menacing intensity
With every green printed ream

American Literature 9am Monday
I wake up and sit up
And feel the cold
With the heat on high
From the radiator old
The whistle of the steam
Its projectile waterflow
The bubble of my stomach
And the alarm beeping bold
I sip on water
For my mouth of cotton
The bane of the bottle
Of the night before
Bitter in the morning
My head a little bit sore
I mumble and mutter
Its a miracle for sure
I didn't wake up in a gutter
Where if blood were gold
I'd be richer, but
A kidney poor.

Sweet Macoun
There is an apple that ripens
Unveils a splotch of green,
It's the life in it that frightens,
It weaves without a seam,
Sucking like a siphon,
Even gravity has its schemes,
Through a speckled shadow it falls,
Dancing on beams,
Worried its quirky twist is a sin
In streams of light it gleams
It spins, gets taken by the wind,
Scared by grass that looks like pins,
It'll aim for the leaves.
No matter where it hits the turf
It'll fall among the trees
Even if the landing hurts
Its roll settles into dreams.

2 Flowing Ones
The Rotation Click
With a lime in the music
Focus in my mind
I sway to the locust
And rotate on time
Lady like sarcastic
Melted snoopy plastic
I quick slay lines in ink
Double layered chapstick
Practically the prime
Lit rhyme green on the rapstick
Realign with the lime
A steam room bogus
And my infrared rhymes
With the reap of the locust
I rotate on time.
Slothbish Elemento Vee
I can relate like moss to the tree sloth
With bunches of mixable munchies
I daily cross the green line with a gloss
And quoth the raven made of clay
The crunches and the crack of truncheons
Glossy-eyed unlost in heat or frost
On June 6th, even on a salty bluefish day
Power up rock and roll chakra's ghost
The melody tickles that giggles the sloth
Couching in the trees, gripping moss
Falling into sauce and it's oceanic sway
In a salty bluefish way, in the sea's erratic toss
The lazy tree couch creature who never stopped fighting
Found his calling in the water
And proved to be Titan.

Cosmonaut Bacon
I'm just an earth-citizen
Astronaut, makin
Space-ghetti in a space-pot
The space-chores are earth-hard
But they keep me space-busy
Makin' spicy space-food
In an alien city
I'm in space-jail
But don't be fooled
I'm only space-guilty
Because a space-judge ruled.
My term is over
In ten space-years
But with the space-change rate
Its earth-142
I'm in this space-tuation, because
I was space-framed
For what crime is unimportant
But im pretty space-scared
Earth-war was declared today
Against the aliens, sadly though
Earth didn't know
Of their space-cious planet-ray
Space-tations were victorious
In no space-time at all
The earth which was so glorious
Now just a space-fireball
My new space-job here
As the last earth-man
Is to speak a space-dead language
As tourists tour space-land.
